Star Mine Ute Creek Road, Idaho Springs, CO 80452

Property Description

6.12 acres in Idaho Springs with a name that tells part of the story before you even set foot on it. This is the Star Mine property, situated along Ute Creek Road with Ute Creek running through the base of the lot, pines and aspens covering the hillside, and tens of thousands of acres of public land bordering the property directly. This is a rare setup for a parcel this size. The combination of a named historic mining claim, a creek at the base, mature tree cover, and direct adjacency to public land puts this in a different category than a standard vacant lot. Whether you are looking for a private off-grid retreat, a hunting basecamp, or simply a unique and well-located piece of Clear Creek County land, this property delivers on multiple fronts. The hunting angle is particularly strong. The property sits in Game Management Unit 39, a well regarded unit for elk and deer, and with tens of thousands of acres of public land accessible directly from your property line, you have essentially unlimited backcountry to hunt and explore without ever moving your truck. Ute Creek itself adds to the recreational and aesthetic value, providing a natural anchor to the lower portion of the lot and the kind of running water feature that makes a mountain property feel complete. Access is along Ute Creek Road and high clearance is recommended. Idaho Springs is just a short drive away for supplies and amenities, with Denver less than an hour out via I70, making this an exceptionally accessible piece of mountain land for a Front Range buyer.
