Broomfield is located midway between Denver, CO and Boulder, CO. It was founded in 1877, incorporated in 1961 and; because it crossed into four different counties, in 2001 it became solely located in the newly approved Broomfield County (the newest county in the US!).
According to City-Data.com, the population of Broomfield in 2017 was 68,341 with an estimated median household income of $90,939 and a median house value of $461,600.
Broomfield offers the peace of suburban life, with quick and convenient access to city amenities. Broomfield also boasts 8000 acres of public open space and 280 miles of biking and hiking trails. The Paul Derda Recreation Center offers an aquatic park, children's play zone, a gymnastics center, a rock climbing wall, an indoor track as well as gymnasium and work out facilities.
Entertainment is bountiful at the 1st Bank Center in the form of concerts, conventions, trade shows, etc. It is conveniently located adjacent to RTD U.S. 36 & Broomfield Park-n-Ride.
Shopping is also plentiful in Broomfield as Flatiron Crossing is home to over 200 shops and restaurants with everything from big-box stores to boutiques and a theater.
The Broomfield 911 Memorial honors the victims and events of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The monument, located within the 41 acres of Broomfield's Community Park, includes recovered pieces of the World Trade Center's Twin Towers. Not far from the Community Park, The Brunner Farmhouse provides a community gathering place and provides volunteer opportunities.
For the serious golfer, Broomfield is home to the Omni Interlocken Resort Golf Club.This resort is a 27 hole championship course with breathtaking views of the Flatirons and the Colorado Front Range.
Broomfield also has it's own winery--Turquoise Mesa Winery which offers wine tasting and has a wine club.
Broomfield is also home to the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (previously known as the JeffCo airport). This airport is the 4th busiest in Colorado. It is home to many different businesses and hosts several airshows and events each year.
