Boulder Colorado is located just 25 miles northwest of Denver Colorado, at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.  The Flatirons, giant slabs of tilted sedimentary slab rock formations, are widely recognized as a symbol of Boulder.

Cycling in Boulder:  Boulder is a special place for bicyclists. The Boulder Valley has more than 300 miles of bikeway, including 96 miles of bike lanes, 84 miles of multi-use paths, and 50 miles of designated bike routes.  Boulder has had a Thursday night cruiser ride since 1992.  Cyclists have gathered every Thursday night in spring, summer and fall to ride single-speed cruiser bikes through town spreading cheer by wishing everyone they meet  "Happy Thursday!"

Boulder hosts the World's Best 10K (according to Runner's World) every Memorial Day. This event--the Bolder Boulder--draws more than 50,000 participants and has the largest collection of elite world runners other than the summer Olympics.  The run ends inside of CU's (University of Colorado at Boulder) Folsom Field and guarantees a patriotic fun-filled day.

Unique shopping opportunities abound in Downtown Boulder including Pearl Street Mall, which is an outdoor walking mall.  Street entertainers frequent the area and dining selections are plentiful.  Boulder Arts and Crafts Cooperative, located on Pearl Street, is one of the oldest artist cooperatives in the U. S. Hundreds of local and national artists are represented. 

29th Street Mall with more than 65 retail and dining options offers further shopping opportunities. Outdoorsmen will love shopping at REI Boulder.  The Boulder Farmer's Market has been operating for nearly 30 years and everything found here is grown or raised in Colorado.

Boulder Parks and Recreation operates more than 60 parks, 155 miles of trails and 3 recreation centers. The city is also responsible for skate parks, sports fields, multiple swimming pools and Valmont Bike Park.  Chataqua Park offers tennis courts, picnic grounds, playground facilities and is home to the Chataqua trailhead, which is the beginning of many trails in the Flatirons.

Boulder offers many unique dining options including the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House, Mediterranian Restaurant, Blackbelly, River and Woods, and the Flagstaff House.

The Fox Theater, a premier live music venue in Boulder, was named as the 4th best live venue in America by RollingStone Magazine. 

The Boulder Beer Trail features over two dozen craft breweries.  Quality musical entertainment is provided by the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra.  In addition to CU, Boulder is home to the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.

Eldora Ski Resort is only 21 miles away!

Although the Boulder Municipal Airport does not offer any commercial airlines services, it does provide business, private, recreational and emergency aviation services to the City of Boulder and surrounding communities.
